Short Conversation.

PART III : Short Conversation.

 Directions:

In this part of the test You will hear  five  Short Conversations. For each Short Conversation you will hear a short conversation between two people. You will hear the conversations TWO TIMES. They will not be printed on your test paper, so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers say. On your test paper, you will read a question about each conversation. The question will be followed by four answers. You are to choose the best answer   to each question, and mark your answer in the answer sheet.

Example :

You will hear :

Girl     : Are you sixteen yet?

Boy     :Not yet, but my birthday is in March.

Girl     :When in March?

Boy     :It is March 20^th.

You will read : What do you learn from the conversation ?

A. The girl is sixteen years old.    

B.   the boy is twenty years old.

C.  The boy was born in March. 

D. The girl’s birthday is March 20.

Choice (C) – “The boy was born in March” – best answers the question – “What do you  learn from the conversation? Therefore, you should mark (C) on your answer sheet.

Now let’s begin part three, Short Conversation .

7.       Dialogue 1. for Number 7

         :                      

[Woman’s voice]        :  You’re seeing that movie again ? But I saw it with you last year.?

[Man’s voice]             : I see it every year when it plays. It’s a classic.

 How often does the woman see the movie ?

A. Only once..

B. Only last year..

C. Every year..

D. Once in a while..

8.       Dialogue 2  for Number 8

Man                          : We need the auditorium for a meeting Wednesday morning.

Woman                    : I am sory . It’s sceduled all day . Can you use the conference room ?.

Man                          : No, that’s not really big enough.

 What’s the woman problem?

A. She’s meeting too many people.

B. There is no place to have the meeting .

C. There is no scedule for Wednesday..

D. No one is attending the meeting ..

9.       Dialogue 3  for  Number  9

[Man’s voice]             :  There’s an art show in the park.

 [Woman’s voice]       : That sounds like fun. Can you go after work?

[Man’s voice]             : No, it closes at dark .Let’s plan it for Sunday.

Why can they go after work ?

A. It’s dark.

B. It’s in the park.

C. It’s going to rain..

D. They don’t have warm clothes..

Dialogue 4  for  Number  10

[Woman’s voice]     :     What do you think of this restaurant ?

[Man’s voice]          :     I can’t believe how expensive that restaurant is .

 [Woman’s voice]    :     But you have to admit , the food is excellent.

[Man’s voice]          :     yes, but it cost me a week’s salary.

What do the man think about he restaurant ?

A. It’s convenient..

B.  It’s cold fashioned

C. It’s closing next week..

D. It’s expensive.

Dialogue 5  for  Number  11

[Woman’s voice]     :     Didn’t Soimah go on vacation last week ?

[Man’s voice]          :     She planned it to, but she got a flue. She stayed home sick all week. .

 [Woman’s voice]    :     I’m sorry to hear that. I know she wanted to get away and see a new place.

What did Soimah do last week ?

A. She stayed home.

B.  She went to sea.

C. She flew to a new place.

D. She came here.
